Setup Guide
1. Create a Python Virtual Environment
python3 -m venv .venv
2. Activate the Environment
source .venv/bin/activate
(Windows users can run .venv\Scripts\activate)
3. Install Requirements
pip install -r requirements.txt
Example requirements.txt:
mcp>=1.0.0
4. Run the MCP Server
npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector venv_path server_path/server.py
This starts the MCP server and opens the Inspector for viewing and testing.
5. Create a Test File
Create a file named test.txt and add some sample data:
