export SPLUNK_TOKEN
Create a token in Splunk Web: Settings → Tokens → New Token.
Or username/password:
export SPLUNK_HOST=localhost
unset SPLUNK_TOKEN
export SPLUNK_USERNAME=your-username
read -rsp 'Splunk password: ' SPLUNK_PASSWORD; echo
