Quick Start

Prerequisites

  • macOS computer (iMessage requires macOS)
  • Node.js 18 or higher
  • Anthropic API key (get one here)

Setup

# Clone and navigate
cd backend

# Install
npm install

# Configure
cp .env.example .env
# Edit .env with your ANTHROPIC_API_KEY

# Grant Full Disk Access
# System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access
# Add your Terminal app

# Run
npm run dev

That's it! Send an iMessage to your Mac and the bot will respond.

Deployment Options
